By airplane

Vienna-Schwechat Airport is located outside the city limits and offers international connections. Airlines offering connections to Vienna are (incomplete list): Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, KLM, Air France, British Airways, Easyjet, British Midland International, Aer Lingus, EL AL, United Airlines, Emirates, etc.

Vienna International Airport is about 16 km east of Vienna in Schwechat. The city center can be reached quickly and in comfort by public transport. Your options are:

By train

Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) offer a railway network with connections to Vienna. Vienna can also be reached by train from further afield.

Please note: Vienna’s train stations are currently undergoing redevelopment (the new Vienna Central Train Station is under construction and therefore only part of the connections run through the new train station).
